Helping in a time of crisis!
October 8th, 2024
My daughter Nora just picked up her foster dog Tatum from the Miami-Dade animal shelter. The University of Miami has gone remote as Hurricane Milton moves towards Florida. Many shelters in Florida are outside and asking for volunteers to foster animals through the hurricane. Nora had always felt a connection to animals, particularly dogs. When she learned about Hurricane Milton approaching Miami, she knew she wanted to do something special, both for herself and for a dog in need. Because Tatum came from a shelter and had no history, Nora was proactive and got Tatum’s sensitivities tested to use a guideline for buying her furry friend food.

How Allepet helped Lily make a swift transformation to her physical and mental well-being!

Getting Lily tested for allergies at Allepet Medical Laboratory was a game-changer for her health! Initially, she struggled with persistent skin issues and discomfort, which we suspected might be related to allergies. After discussing our concerns with the veterinarian, we decided to do sensitivity testing.
The process was straightforward, the veterinarian drew her blood, sent Lily’s blood in to Allepet, and the team at Allepet conducted a thorough evaluation. They use a blood test to identify specific foods that could be affecting her.
Once we had the results, we could make informed decisions about her diet and environment. We eliminated certain foods from her diet and took steps to minimize her exposure to environmental triggers. Over time, we noticed significant improvements in her skin condition—less itching, fewer hot spots, and a much happier pup overall.

How Scout found balance from Allepet!
October 9th, 2024
Scout is a two-year-old mix. Scout started biting her paws, scratching behind her ears and eventually all over her body around 9 months and it progressed over time. We tried changing her foods to brands that we thought were good for her and always doing so slowly overtime. It wasn’t until I received Scout’s results from Allepet that I started reading labels and doing research.
By doing the Allepet panel I found out she had a variety of food sensitives. Her class three foods were sunflower seed, chicken, bakers and brewers’ yeast, all of which are common ingredients in most dog products. I was surprised when I looked at the labels for Scout’s food, treats, and even things like rawhide chews. All of them had at least two of the ingredients she tested positive for in them.
Some of her class two foods included watermelon, sweet potato, carrots, and yogurt which were all ingredients in some of the treats we were making for her or letting her snack on regularly. We were able to find ingredients she didn’t test positive for to start using. We also found dog food that worked well for her. Since making these changes for Scout we have noticed immediate results. She stopped biting her paws and no longer scratches herself raw.

Brody’s parents didn’t guess, they got a test!

Brody was scratching and itching to the point where parts of his skin and ears were raw and bleeding. Then our veterinarian recommended the Allepet canine panel and we eliminated the problematic foods. Brody’s symptoms have cleared and he is back to his happy dog self.
