What if changing your dog’s diet could improve their quality of life and yours?

Our passion for veterinary testing evolved decades ago from our clinician client’s desire to bring the quality testing provided to their patients to their pets. We began to test dogs, and we were amazed when we heard how dogs that were itching, biting paws, had raw ears, gastrointestinal issues and many other symptoms improved or resolved after changing their diet. The amazing feedback we received inspired our food sensitivity testing panel for pets.

“I had been struggling with my dog’s constant itching, scratching and runny nose. I decided to try food sensitivity testing. The process was straightforward and quick. In days the results revealed specific foods that were affecting my dog, allowing us to adjust his diet. Buddy is happier and much more relaxed. Even his breathing has improved

– Karen G.

I can’t express how transformative pet sensitivity testing has been for us and our beloved dog, Max. Before the testing, Max struggled with skin irritations, and gastrointestinal issues. We tried various medications and treatments, nothing seemed to provide lasting relief. Changing his diet changed our lives, thank you.

Within weeks, I noticed a significant improvement in his comfort and overall happiness. I highly recommend sensitivity testing for any dog owner dealing with similar issues!.

How does the test work?

Allepet has developed our own propriety testing over the past 40 years for human research. Now we are expanding to canines, and our test will pinpoint the root triggers of your pet’s sensitivity. We will take the blood serum sample from your dog, and run it through our FDA approved analyzers. These analyzers match antibodies to proteins to accurately tell us what could be causing your dog’s irritation.

How long does it take to get results?

From the time we receive your pets test kit it takes an average of 3-5 business days. The pet sample is processed into our system, the test is run and the results are reviewed. Once the results are finalized they are sent through our HIPPA compliant share file, ensuring that you and your pet get the results as quickly as possible.

How soon after consuming positive food will my dog display symptoms?

Your dog will begin to display symptoms anywhere from 2 – 72 hours after consuming a food they react to. Sometimes, it can be hard to pinpoint symptoms since they can happen hours to days after consumption. Symptoms can range from itchy skin (especially behind the ears, paws, on their face, and stomach), other symptoms can include digestive issues, chronic ear issues, reduced appetite, weight loss, and discomfort. Keeping track of what your dog is eating and reading labels is a great place to start.

Why did my dog test positive for foods they have never consumed before?

Your dog may react positively to a food they’ve never consumed before due to a phenomenon known as cross reactivity. Cross reactivity occurs when your dog’s immune system reacts to the protein in the food that is similar to the proteins in another food that your dog tested positive for.
