Sample Collection
1.) Draw blood – fill to black “fill line”.
2.) 3.5 ML Serum Separator Tube with clot activator.
3.) Label tube with patient first and last name.
Sample Handling
1.) Gently invert tube 5-10x after collection.
2.) Let sample clot for approximately 15-20 minutes at room temperature.
3.) Centrifuge at approximately 2500 rpm for 10-15 minutes.
4.) Store samples refrigerated at 2-8°C if shipping within 24 hours of collection.
Sample Transport
1.) Package sample and put in FedEx Lab Pack.
2.) Call 1-800-FedEx for pick up.
